I'm Matt Cole, and I run DirectLine-IT from Hood River, Oregon. We serve businesses across the Columbia River Gorge and the broader Pacific Northwest — primarily in healthcare, financial services, and all other industries where compliance isn't optional and getting it wrong has consequences.
Why Wayfinder
Most managed service providers compete on price. We don't. Our clients are organizations that have to answer to HIPAA, the FTC Safeguards Rule, MTSA, or their own boards — and they need a partner who has already done the work of building a compliant practice, not one who'll figure it out on their bill.
We eat our own tacos. The same policies, controls, and documentation we recommend to clients are the ones we run our own shop on. That's the difference between an MSP that sells security and one that lives it.

How I work
I've spent most my career in IT, but the part I care most about is being someone clients can actually trust — with their data, their compliance posture, and the honest conversation about what they need versus what they don't. That means telling you when a project is out of scope, when you're already spending enough, and when something has to change. Stewardship over a long relationship beats a quick win every time.
I work with a small team of experienced technicians, and I bring in specialized partners where it makes sense. You'll know who's working on your environment, and the answer won't change month to month.
